Career Connections is a community response to the increasing rate of local youth who are disconnected from employment. A coalition of youth-centered agencies from across the valley has dedicated themselves to the OFY Initiative, and its goal of reconnecting these youth with career pathways.
The Opportunities for Youth network of workforce development partners offers a wide variety of occupational options (apprenticeships, work training programs, vocational training and direct hire opportunities) with wrap-around services to meet the needs of the young employees and employers from across the Greater Phoenix Area.
FOCUS:
Connecting Opportunity Youth with local businesses for mutual benefit
by providing Opportunity Youth with meaningful work and career opportunities and by providing employers with a robust and sustainable workforce talent pool.
GOAL:
Ensure opportunity youth have access to gainful employment and upward career mobility.
