Join Year Up Arizona for a Community Open House at the
East Valley Location on Monday, September 9th, 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM.
In the 5 years that Year Up has been in Phoenix, we have served 877 young adults with our graduates reaching a 90% success rate with either full-time employment or enrollment in post-secondary education. Our alumni successfully complete internships with companies like American Express, JP Morgan Chase, PayPal, Bank of America, Amazon and often graduate with a full-time employment offer.
We have great news for the East Valley, we are launching our new site this September in Mesa and we need your help!
We have 15 more seats available for our September 24th start date. To prove that the East Valley is a community with young adults that are hungry for opportunity, think of 5 young adults that meet our requirements and send them our way. We will support them in reaching their full potential!
The only requirements are:
High School Diploma or GED
Eligibility to work
18 – 24 years of age
Be hardworking and motivated
If you are wondering how one individual can impact their community, meet Mr. Donald Sheldon:
Over our 5 years in Phoenix, one of our biggest supporters has been Mr. Donald Sheldon, Career & Technical Education & Network & Cyber Security Teacher at Metro Tech High School. Mr. Sheldon has referred over 200 students to Year Up and has helped change lives by connecting them with career opportunities through Year Up. If you take a minute to do the math, 200 students multiplied by an average salary of $36K, creates the potential of a 7-million-dollar impact for Metro Tech High School Alumni and their community. The Phoenix Union School District along with the teachers, counselors and administrative staff have been a huge reason why Year Up Arizona has grown significantly. We are so thankful and appreciative of our community for helping serve our youth and young adults in Arizona!
These are students who are often first in their families to go to college and achieve a professional career.
Imagine creating that impact in the East Valley!
To find out more about Year Up and our new location in Mesa, we will be hosting our Community Open House.
