As a Precision Machining student, you will have the opportunity to earn credentials that could lead to greater employment opportunities, higher wages and promotions. Students who complete the program can earn a nationally recognized certification from the National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) and have a competitive edge on positions in the fields of manufacturing, production and metalworking.
Choose Your Track
In this program, students will choose between two tracks:
Mill Operation and
Each track will include 14-weeks of occupational skills training in computer basics, programming, setup, operation and shop safety.
Used to drill, bore, cut and produce slots to create shapes out of solid material
Commonly Milled Equipment:
Used to remove metals from a workpiece to create a certain shape and size
